Tangible Communities is here to transform the conversation around community design, homeownership, affordable housing, and transportation. We are not the first in this space, but we aim to innovate with fresh and resonant ideas that drive crucial changes in local zoning laws and transportation routes. By focusing on positive changes in community design, we can shift priorities from motor vehicles to pedestrians. Pedestrian-focused communities will reconnect families, neighbors, and local small businesses, fostering a self-sustaining financial ecosystems.
Our vision is driven by our own struggles to find equitable housing opportunities. Many people seeking well-paying careers migrate to the largest cities in the United States, only to find that the cost of living there forces them to live beyond their means. High expenses for transportation, housing, groceries, and taxes erode paychecks, making the dream of homeownership seem unattainable.
Tangible Communities, aspiring to be a B-Corp, is the parent company of other entities dedicated to bringing our vision to life.
